Thoughtful and Intentional use of public funds to support the community's priorities. Planning for the future with reserves & revenue sources. Maintaining a clear and transparent public process. Considering what we need vs. what we want.

Protecting natural resources, open spaces, and trails.

Preserving natural spaces and connecting them with easily accessible trails to allow residents to connect with nature. Be thoughtful with water allocation and the expenditure of energy. Invest in the education and use of renewable energy sources.

Protecting environmental quality of the community (i.e. air quality, healthy natural environment, oil and gas regulations, etc.).

Consciously protecting our air, water, and land through thoughtful policy and planning. Designing infrastructure to support non-motorized transportation. Investing or divesting in resources with the ultimate goal of responsibly caring for our community.

Cultivating a community with a strong economy and additional employment opportunities.

Build a community with a vibrant business sector with a variety of jobs. Prioritize diverse and affordable housing types to provide an opportunity for future generations to remain in Erie. Focus on keeping spending local to pay for the community's needs.

Maintaining a “small town feel” in Erie.

Support infrastructure and events which encourage residents to gather, walk to amenities, and feel safe doing so. Preserving the stories and history of our community members. Building spaces for residents to create and maintain connection to one another and to the government.

Focusing on the design, quality, and visual appeal of the community.

Prioritize maintenance and replacement schedules for all Town amenities to ensure clean, inspiring, and accessible spaces. Ensuring a consistent design theme which reflects the history and character of Erie.

Providing access to safe bike trails/routes to reach local or regional  destinations.

Require roads, sidewalks, & trails to be safe, accessible, and well-maintained. Think holistically about different modes of transportation and for all ages, mobilities, & incomes. Think to the future for our systems to accommodate population growth.

Increasing public transit options to local or regional destinations.

Maintain and increase close collaboration with neighboring cities to create regional connection. Allowing the possibility for someone to live a full life in Erie without owning a vehicle. Provide options for public transit and education on how to ride.

Providing access to additional recreational opportunities and amenities.

Providing a wide array of recreation amenities. Be conscious of diversity in physical ability, events both indoors and outdoors, and provide for a variety of ages. Expand capacity to match community population and needs.

Adequately fund law enforcement to provide crime prevention, community policing, and speedy response times. Support safe streets, sidewalks, and trails that protect all forms of mobility. Listen to what residents say they need in order to feel safe.

Actively create opportunities for all people to influence policy and welcome all perspectives. Collect and use data to address disparities in our community, promote equitable life outcomes, and measure success. Emphasizing arts, culture, and entertainment in Erie.

Foster a culture in Erie that encourages residents to stay in Town and enjoy the amenities. Plan and design to include art and cultural events. Create spaces for shared, community experiences.

Continue improving municipal government services.

Listening to residents and making decisions on behalf of the majority. Recruiting and retaining expert staff to uphold quality public service. Serve ALL residents effectively by leaning into DEI, sustainability, and process improvement. Being clear with our purpose and commitments.
