Town of Erie Department of Public Works

Four-way Stop installation - Briggs and Wells streets

Description:

On the recommendation of the Town Engineer, a four-way stop at Briggs Street and Wells Street will be installed on Monday, October 7. As a result of numerous recommendations from residents, and an engineering study, the four-way stop will allow pedestrians a better view of oncoming vehicles on Briggs Street, and offer vehicles the ability to negotiate the intersection more effectively. Red caution flags will be affixed to the new signs for a period of at least two weeks.

Duration:
Town staff will be installing the stop sign bases on Friday, October 2. The stop signs will be affixed on Monday, October 7.

Detours:
We do not expect any detours during the installation. Please obey traffic control signage.
