Annual Fall Clean-Up

Saturday, September 14th

The Town of Erie Department of Public Works is partnering with a variety of vendors including Front Range Landfill, ARC and others during the Annual Town of Erie Fall Clean-Up.

UNWANTED ITEMS & YARD WASTE - FRONT RANGE LANDFILL
The Front Range Landfill, located at 1830 Weld County Road 5 in Erie, will accept large household items and yard waste.  Hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Residents may dispose of any large household items as well as tree limbs or other yard waste. FREE OF CHARGE.  Please note the following:

  • Limit one load per household
  • Residents must present a Town of Erie utility bill or drivers license with an Erie address
  • All loads must be covered, and level with bed of the ruck and/or trailer
  • Construction materials such as roofing shingles, concrete, and framing materials could be subject to charges at the discretion of the landfill
  • Items not accepted include hazardous materials such as refrigerators, car batteries, tires, and paint

DONATE USED HOME SUPPLIES
ARC will have a collection center set up at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center, located at 150 Bonnell Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Donations may be working or not. For a list of accepted items visit erieco.gov/744/Clean-Up-Days.

DOCUMENT SHREDDING
The Town of Erie’s Public Works Department is collaborating with Shred-It to provide free document shredding service of outdated files or confidential paperwork at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center, located at 150 Bonnell Avenue from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m (or until the truck is full, whichever comes first)A limit of two banker box sized loads per resident.

METAL NON-WORKING ITEMS
The Town of Erie's Public Works Department will also have the disposal of metal-type non-working items at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center, located at 150 Bonnell Avenue, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. For a list of accepted items visit erieco.gov/744/Clean-Up-Days.

MEDICATION TAKE-BACK 
TakeAway Medication Recovery System area will have 100 free envelopes (first come, first served) for mailing unused and unwanted household medications. These envelopes are available at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center, located at 150 Bonnell Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while supplies last. Residents who are unable to pick up a free envelope on at the event may purchase one at the Police Station anytime during normal business hours. Year-round Recycling


HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE

The Town of Erie contracts with Boulder County and Weld County to provide our citizens a place to dispose of household hazardous waste. Erie residents, regardless of which county they live in, can use both facilities. View more information and hours of operation for both facilities*Note: this service is not restricted to the Town of Erie Clean-Up event times.

RECYCLING CENTER

The Town of Erie Department of Public Works maintains an unmanned Recycling Center which accepts Commingled Containers and Mixed Paper. The Recycling Center is located at 1000 Briggs Street. View more information on the Recycling Center.

BRUSH & LIMB DROP OFF SERVICE

Due to the Emerald Ash Borer quarantine the Town of Erie Parks Division will not be accepting tree limbs for this event. Please take all tree limbs, branches and yard debris directly to the Front Range Landfill.

The Town of Erie is developing a Sustainability Master Plan that will ensure the community continues to protect natural resources and support a thriving local economy and culture as we continue to grow. We want your input on the priorities and strategies in the plan, and what being a sustainable community means to you. Please join us for an Open House to learn more about the Plan and share your thoughts on how we can work together to make Erie more sustainable!
