Town of Erie Department of Public Works

Asphalt Overlay: Street Maintenance Project

Asphalt patching and crack sealing is underway as part of the Town of Erie Street Maintenance Project. The project is planned through the fall months. A milling machine will be used to prep roads for an asphalt overlay. The following roads will be impacted:

  • County Road 5 – from County Road 6 south to County Road 4
  • County Road 4 – from County Road 5 east to Sheridan Blvd.
  • Mountain View Blvd – from Vista Parkway to State HWY 7

Work areas may periodically be reduced to single-lane traffic during daytime construction hours. Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage, delineators and flaggers will be on site to enable travel through the construction areas in a timely and safe manner. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.
