Child Abuse Awareness Month

Child Abuse & Victims' Rights

On Tuesday night, Mayor Carroll called on Erie citizens to observe the week of April 7-13, 2019, as Crime Victims' Rights Week as well as the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention month. Mayor Carroll encouraged the community to support efforts so that every child grows up in a safe, nurturing environment - free from harm and fear.

Water Conservation Programs

Water Conservation in Erie

Todd Fessenden, Public Works Director presented an update on the water conservation programs. The Town partnered with Resource Central to provide the following programs again in 2019: 'Slow the Flow' Outdoor Irrigation audit and 'Smart Irrigation' controller rebates; 'Garden In a Box'; and 'Flush for the Future' high efficiency toilets and washing machine rebates. State Highway 52 Coalition

The Trustees solidified their support of a regional coalition to address safety and transportation issues along the State Highway 52 corridor. The Board pledges to have staff support available for meeting and will consider matching funds for grants as part of the budget process.

Meadowlark Preliminary Plat

On Tuesday, the Board reviewed Staff's recommendation of approving the preliminary plat for the Meadowlark Subdivision. The 86 acres includes 118 single-family lots on the northeast of Jay and Jasper Road, west of the Lost Creek Farms subdivision and south of the Erie Village and Kenosha Farms subdivisions.
