Town Administrator Fleming

Town Administrator Appointed 

Following an in-depth application process the Board of Trustees officially announced Malcolm Fleming as the Town Administrator on January 8, 2019. Eager to begin, Fleming's first day followed immediately on Wednesday, January 9.

Fleming brings experience, accolades, and enthusiasm. His notable 25 years of experience in local government comes as a City Manager of Louisville and most recently as the Interim City Administrator in Manitou Springs. In the realm of municipal management he was recognized in 2016 as 'Manager of the Year' by Colorado City and County Management Association.

Lastly, Fleming thanked the Board and shared his enthusiasm for the appointment, noting he would like Erie to not only be recognized as the best place to raise a family, but the best place to grow a business, find great food and entertainment, and enjoy open space and connected parks and trails. Welcome to Erie!

Commissioner Kirkmeyer

Appointment to Urban Renewal Authority 

The Board of Trustees appointed Weld County Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer to the Town of Erie Urban Renewal Authority on Tuesday evening. Recommendations were received from both  Boulder County and Weld County. The Urban Renewal Authority encourages economic vitality and improves public safety of urban renewal project areas.

Board Approves Annexation Agreement with Anadarko

In an effort to support the Town of Erie Gateway Project the Board of Trustees approved an annexation agreement with Anadarko E& P Onshore, LLC. This valuable annexation by Anadarko will serve as a primary funding mechanism to support future infrastructure in the Town's I-25 Urban Renewal Authority.

Town of Erie Recognizes School Choice Week

Mayor Carroll proclaimed January 20-26, 2019 as the Town of Erie School Choice Week. The commemoration shines a spotlight on effective education options for children that not only diversify our economy, but
also enhances the vibrancy of our community.
