On January 3, 2019, four new sergeants were sworn in for the Erie Police Department. The Erie Police Department will no longer use the rank of corporal.
Those promoted include:
- Sergeant Ben Cummings
- Sergeant Brendan Beggan
- Sergeant Dave Taylor
- Sergeant Chris Muzzipapa
The new sergeants will take over their official duties on January 6, 2019. All four will be assigned to Patrol.
