Plug & Abandon Courtesy Notice from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
The Town of Erie has been notified by Anadarko that they will begin to plug and abandon an existing oil and natural gas well that is located east of County Road 3 and north of County Road 12. The work is scheduled to begin on or around April 13, 2017 and will take approximately one to two weeks to complete. During this operation the well will be plugged, the associated surface equipment removed, and the land reclaimed to match the existing landscape. This activity will require heavy equipment and a work-over rig. In an effort to reduce the inconvenience to the surrounding residents, crews will be working on site during daylight hours only. The work will take place Monday through Friday, and only if the needed Saturday operations may take place. Residents may notice a slight increase in traffic and are likely to hear the activity during operations.
