119th Street Closed Erie Pkwy to Austin Ave

A third party contractor was boring holes in 119th Street and inadvertently hit one of our main water lines in Erie. To address the issue, 119th Street has to closed between Erie Parkway and Austin Avenue for emergency repairs. Due to the size of the repair operations and potential for sink holes due to excess water, the roadway must be fully closed to traffic. Vehicles can use Austin Ave. as a detour through the area. 

At this time, our water levels are ok and this should not change the water pressure in homes in the community. The water is safe to drink and quality has not been compromised. That being said, the water levels are dropping and we ask that all residents refrain from using any sprinkler systems until repairs are complete. Hand-watering is ok if absolutely needed and regular water use inside your home is fine. Sprinklers/outdoor irrigation takes the most water from our system.
