Calling all Youth Ages 15-21!The Town of Erie Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team is hosting a FREE ice cream social on Monday, Aug. 7 from 4-6 p.m. for young people in Erie. The event will be set up on the lawn between the Erie Community Center and the High Plains Library. Staff would like to start a conversation about how to make Erie a better town for everyone. Join us to talk about growth, community, diversity, and culture in Erie. Share your vision and ideas with Town staff and your peers! Ice cream will be provided by Sweets Ice Cream. Share Input on Vote Centers for 2024The Boulder County Elections Division is conducting a survey asking residents where they believe Vote Centers (Voter Service and Polling Centers) and 24-Hour Mail Ballot Drop Boxes should be located. Boulder County will have at least 19 Vote Centers open throughout the county on Election Day with some of those locations opening as early as two weeks before Election Day. The County wants to identify new Vote Centers for 2024 and review the most recently used facilities. Review and complete the survey to share your opinions.

Cone ZonesEach week we list the projects that may have the biggest impact on traffic flow for that week. As always, please sign up for alerts to get more details about these projects and many others. Erie Parkway: As part of a water line installation for the Westerly development, Erie Parkway will have single lane closures from Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21 - weather permitting. The utility work will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day with a single lane closure and changed traffic delineation for both directions. Erie Pkwy will be fully open in both directions, during all other hours outside those working hours. The location of the work is on Erie Pkwy between WCR 5 and WCR 7, just to the east of Westerly Blvd. Road work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should always be aware and use caution when in and around work zones. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction areas.
