Community Survey Results PresentationThank you to everyone who participated in the recent 2023 Community Survey! Sharing your thoughts and opinions is important to supporting a healthy democracy and government by the people. Our expert consultants from Polco and the National Research Center have analyzed the results and will present their findings to the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, June 13 during the Board’s Regular Meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall or online. We ended with 904 respondents to the random sample survey and 355 respondents to the open participation survey. Some highlights from the results include: - Safety is a strength in Erie with 96% of respondents feeling Very or Somewhat safe in their neighborhoods during the day.
- Roughly 3 in 4 residents have a growing concern over the affordability of housing in Erie.
- The top three priorities for the Town identified by respondents are: Maintaining a fiscally responsible budget in municipal government; Carefully managing growth and development in Erie; Protecting natural resources, open spaces, and trails.
Tune into the meeting on June 13 for a deeper dive into more topics. A full dashboard of results is available for viewing at www.erieco.gov/CommunitySurvey.

Rained-Out Events Now RescheduledThis spring has been a soggy one and the excess moisture brought with it a host of both good and bad things. The flowers and trees are bright and healthy, but the creeks are high and flooded. Wildfire concern is currently very low, but many outdoor events had to be postponed. Two recent events that now have rescheduled dates include the Balloon Launch and Erie Pride! - Erie Chamber of Commerce Balloon Launch – July 14, 15, 16 at 6-8 a.m. in the field near WCR 5 and Colliers Pkwy
- Being Better Neighbors Erie Pride Celebration – Aug. 6 from 3-7 p.m. on Briggs Street
Please visit the hosting organizations’ websites for more details and check the Town’s events page for other upcoming events this summer.

Cone ZonesEach week we list the projects that may have the biggest impact on traffic flow for that week. As always, please sign up for alerts to get more details about these projects and many others. More information and details for how to sign up are at www.erieco.gov/ConeZone. Rain Delays: Wet weather has delayed or extended many road projects. This is an issue across Colorado – with some asphalt companies even needing to add an extra drying agent to the asphalt material just to allow for use of the product. Our staff team is working with all developers and contract companies to adjust schedules and will post updates as soon as possible.
