County Line Road Closure Near Hwy 7
We have an important update regarding travel in the southern part of Erie. County Line Road, between Hwy 7 and Monroe Street, is scheduled for closure to all northbound and southbound traffic, beginning on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. This closure will be permanent as part of the ongoing infrastructure developments within our community.
The closure is necessary to complete utility work associated with the Lafayette Water Reclamation Facility Expansion project and as part of the decommissioning plan within the Parkdale development project. This work is in line with our Intergovernmental Agreement with Lafayette.
During this transition, residents should use the detour via 119th Street and Arapahoe Road. However, this is a temporary detour. We are anticipating the completion of Coal Creek Boulevard/Monroe St. this summer, which will replace County Line Road as the new primary southbound route to Hwy 7. We are carefully coordinating with the Parkdale Developer, Xcel, and CDOT to ensure a smooth and timely completion of Coal Creek Boulevard.
We understand that changes like this can be disruptive, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition. For more information please be sure to sign up for Cone Zone Alerts from the Town of Erie at www.erieco.gov/ConeZone.
We are committed to keeping you informed, ensuring your safety, and minimizing inconvenience during these changes.
