The Erie Police Department offers (FREE) bicycle registration to all Erie residents. The information you provide is helpful to reunite lost or stolen bikes. To register your bikes, stop by 1000 Telleen Avenue to complete a paper form in our lobby, or complete the registration online from the comfort of your couch.

Share Your Thoughts on the Future of Erie

You have a vision for how you want our community to look, feel, and function in the future; we want to understand that vision! The Elevate Erie Comprehensive Plan + Transportation Mobility Plan update process is well underway, and the staff team has been going out in the community to gather resident input. 

Multiple pop-up events and meetings have already been scheduled to interact with residents and many more are on the horizon. Coming up shortly, the staff and expert consultants will be on hand at Earth Day/Arbor Day as well as the Strider Bike Derby this Saturday, April 29. They will also be at the Town Fair on May 13 in a booth at the intersection of Briggs and Wells streets. Be sure to stop over and share your big ideas for Erie! Tennis Courts Opening Day – April 29

Due to inclement weather, the opening day for tennis courts at Erie Community Park was rescheduled for this Saturday, April 29. Interested residents are welcome to join the Town of Erie and Gonzo Tennis from 3-5 p.m. to meet coaches and have some fun on the courts! Also take this time to sign up for adult or youth lessons for this season.

Town Helps Donate 2,000lbs to Food Bank

Throughout the month of March, employees at the Town of Erie donated food and toiletries as part of a large drive. The Greer Group had offered an additional $100 to be donated to the Erie Community Food Bank in the name of whichever organization collected the most items. Altogether, staff at the Town collected and donated more than 2,000lbs of food and toiletries and was named the largest contributor. All those items and the $100 check were dropped off at the Erie Food Bank earlier this month.

• Construction at Wetlands Project - Starting Wednesday, April 26, residents should expect increased truck traffic around the Recycling Center due to heavy hauling operations related to the Wetlands Project. This activity will occur intermittently for about a week (April 26 – May 3) during two time slots: 7-9 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. The Recycling Center will remain open, but visitors may experience delays in accessing the facility during these hours. Approximately 20 large hauling and dump trucks will be transporting materials from nearby former wastewater lagoons that are being transformed into wetlands.

Road work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should always be aware and use caution when in and around work zones. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction areas.
