Seeking New Members for Police Standards Review Panel

The Professional Standards Review Panel (PSRP) advises the Erie Police Department on Internal Affairs Investigations conducted by the Department. While the Panel does not have investigative or decision-making authority, the comments received from these members are highly valuable to the department. The Panel is initiated to review cases promptly. 
  
Apply to volunteer your time – on an as-needed basis – to review cases. Interviews will take place on Thursday, April 27. Please submit the application by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023.

2023 Community Survey Invitations Mailed

Every two years the Town of Erie prepares a Community Survey to review how residents are feeling about the community and what things you value most in government services. Beginning on Thursday, March 30, postcards were mailed to a randomly selected batch of Erie households inviting those residents to complete the survey. Residents are urged to check mailboxes and PO boxes closely for this invitation. On the invitation is a link to complete the survey online (please do not share this link with other households) or instructions for receiving a paper survey.

This first batch of surveys will be part of the statistically valid data set our vendors (Polco and the National Research Center) will analyze and present to us in early summer. Toward the end of April we will provide an opportunity for any other interested residents to complete a survey as well. All that data will be used to help guide policies, budgets, projects, and other decisions in our Town for at least the next two years before the next survey cycle.

Join the Bunny Hunt at the ECC

Ten mischievous bunnies have appeared at the Erie Community Center, and employees need your help locating them all! Explore the ECC and as you find a bunny, snap a picture. Once you've found all 10, show your photos to the Guest Service team at the front desk for a treat and enter into a raffle drawing for an ECC gift card (all ages welcome to participate). Don't delay your hunt. The bunnies are only around through Saturday, April 8.

Note: Bunnies are hidden only in areas of the Center all ages have access to. 

REMINDER: Utility Bill Fees and Shut-Offs Reinstated as of May 1

All water accounts currently behind on utility bill payments will be receiving a letter explaining the options for coming into compliance. All customers will need to pay their balance in full or create a payment plan with the Utility Billing Division by May 1 or be subject to water shut-off procedures.

If you know your account is currently delinquent, please contact the Town of Erie Utility Billing Department at 303-926-2700 to make a payment or to establish a payment arrangement with one of our Utility Billing Specialists.

• Meadowlark Traffic Calming – Beginning April 3, Colorado Barricade will commence striping work on Meadow Sweet Lane. Regardless of any anticipated weather disruptions, the objective is to complete the striping process by the end of this week. The contractor has been instructed to only complete work between the hours of 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (10 a.m. on Wednesday) to avoid drop-off and pick-up times at Meadowlark School. All traffic control barricades will be cleared and driving access returned before the end of each shift.
  
  Part of this project also includes setting up a 4-way stop at the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Blvd and Front Range Road, as well as establishing 'No Parking Bike Lane' signs in designated areas. Signage is expected to be installed tentatively on April 13.

Road work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should always be aware and use caution when in and around work zones. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction areas.
