COGCC Hearing: Petition for Rulemaking to Adopt Rules to Evaluate and Address Cumulative Air Impacts
A hearing is scheduled before the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) for Dec. 9 regarding a petition filed by several nonprofit groups (WildEarth Guardians, 350 Colorado, Colorado Sierra Club, Larimer Alliance, Womxn from the Mountain, and Physicians for Social Responsibility). These groups are requesting that the Commission begin rulemaking hearings to address certain cumulative air impacts of oil and gas development to protect public health, safety, and welfare, and the environment and wildlife resources.
For interested residents, the deadline to submit public comments for this hearing is this Friday, Dec. 2. The Commission is only accepting written comment for this item (Docket No. 220800233), and members of the public wishing to submit comments must register online and select “Request Access to Site.” Please refer to the COGCC “eFiling Users Guidebook” for more information.
