Landscaping Work on WCR 5 to Begin Sept. 19
Starting Monday, Sept. 19 the Colliers Hill Metro District’s contractor, ArrowJ, will begin landscaping within the newly completed Weld County Road 5 roadway. This landscaping will take place throughout the newly improved corridor between Erie Parkway at the south end and WCR 10 at the north. This clean-up and landscaping is expected to continue through the end of November.
This work will include minor grading, seeding, plantings of trees and shrubs, and the installations of boulders and cobble. To accommodate the work crews, there will be lane closures on the west side of the medians. At least one lane of traffic will remain open so movements northbound and southbound along WCR5 will be maintained at all times. The single-lane closures for the contractor are restricted to occurring between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to avoid school drop-off times.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs and reduce speeds through the work zone. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete the final touches on the roadway.
