Thanks to the community for the tips and the good work by investigators, the individual was identified and interviewed. The night of this incident, the individual was arrested on unrelated charges in another jurisdiction.

Attempt to Enter Residence


Erie, Colorado. Shortly after 6 p.m. hours, Saturday, April 16, an unknown person attempted to enter a residence in Erie (west of Country Fields Park and northeast of 119th Street and Tynan Drive) via the front door. Anyone with information is asked to call the Erie Police Department at 303-441-4444 and reference case number 22-0797.
 
The person is described as a lean white male of average height, in his mid-20s to late 30s, wearing black track pants with a white stripe, a grey vest/jacket, a camel and black hat, and a black facial covering. The person is not associated with a vehicle and was observed entering from the walking path, and leaving in that same direction.
