Rescheduled Home Rule Q&A Community Meeting
Due to an unfortunate blend of human error and technology, the Home Rule Community Meeting originally scheduled for April 12 has been rescheduled.
Now set for Monday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m., please join the Town of Erie and experts on the Home Rule process to discuss what it means to move from a Statutory form of government to Home Rule. Hopefully you’ve heard the term over the past year and now have some questions to ask about the details. This is the perfect opportunity to get one more overview of the process and then ask every question you may have!
We understand it may be difficult for some residents to attend this rescheduled date. Staff will be recording this session and posting to the Home Rule Charter webpage after the meeting. Residents can also submit their questions at any time to the same webpage and those questions are answered by staff as they are submitted.
“I personally apologize for inconveniencing the public, staff, and experts with this rescheduled webinar,” said Communications & Community Engagement Director Gabi Rae. “Everyone was ready to go for this important event and unfortunately a purely human error on my part prevented the success of this virtual event.”
Other upcoming engagement opportunities:
- April 30 - Table at the Arbor Day/Earth Day event
- May 21 – Table at the Town Fair
- Ongoing – Meetings with Advisory Boards & Commissions
