Who is Records Technician Austin Arbogast?

Hello! I am the new Records Technician for the Erie Police Department. Before working here, I was a supervisor at King Soopers, so you might recognize me from the Erie King Soopers or from Longmont the last few years. I did a variety of tasks that also included bookkeeping and payroll.

What do you love about working in Erie?

Erie has always been a place where many people want to live and work, and I, fortunately, get the opportunity to do both. Erie is the BEST community in Colorado!

Why did you want to be in law enforcement?

It has always been my dream to be involved in law enforcement, so my interest in law enforcement and working with files and bookkeeping has granted me the opportunity to land the perfect fit for me to do the best of both worlds.

Tell us about your average day.

No day is the same in law enforcement. My days are filled with various tasks that keep me on my toes. I love it!

What are you doing when not working?

I enjoy skiing, camping, or traveling when I'm not working. When I don't get to do those things, I probably spend time with my family, play video games, or do work around the house. I actually love doing projects that need to be fixed around the house or in the yard.

Favorite Movie and Music?

This one is tough for me, I love all types of music, and my favorite artists are constantly changing, often in a very different genre. Usually, my go-to is Classic Rock. I don't have a favorite movie, but my favorite show is The Blacklist!
