Snow Season is ComingAt the first sign of icy streets, the Fleet Division is ready to deploy. As with any snow season, some days will be much worse than others, but the first events afford new crew members the time to learn new routes and equipment functions. Less experienced operators are matched with seasoned snow removal staff for on-the-job shadowing. The same team that clears the snow also provides meter reading, sign and signal repairs, and water and sewer maintenance during the rest of the year. After storm events, the crews must also clean, inspect, and repair equipment. Think that sounds pretty cool? The Public Works Department invites residents to be matched with a snow crew team member for a 'Ride-Along'! To learn more about snow and ice control service, visit the Snow Removal Procedures webpage.

Hybrid BoT MeetingsThe Board of Trustees has resumed in-person/hybrid meetings. Statutory Boards (including Planning Commission, Urban Renewal Authority, and Board of Adjustments) can hold hybrid meetings in the Town Hall Board Room if they achieve an in-person quorum. The public may attend virtually or in person. Meetings are also streamed live on Channel 8. Discover how to attend and comment before and during meetings on the webpage. Due to the continuing impact of the pandemic (see below) anyone entering a Town facility must follow all health and safety protocols, including the current requirements for wearing a mask. Individuals ages 2+ need to wear a mask that complies with the CDC's guidelines. Masks must cover the nose and mouth. Individuals who choose to wear a cloth mask must ensure it is at least two layers thick without exhale vents, mesh, or other punctures. Medical and KN95 masks are available at Town Hall for visitors who need a mask.
