111th Street Closure Update Oct. 18
On Monday, October 18th, 2021, as part of the development work for the Nine Mile Corner Minor Subdivision, the contractor (Brinkmann) for the developer (Evergreen) will move into the last phase of an offsite sewer line installation at 111th Street. The work on this final phase is expected to last until November 10, weather permitting.
Final Phase: This work will be south of the Morris Drive and 111th Street intersection, 111th Street south to Arapahoe Road will be FULLY closed. Residents of the Arapahoe Ridge subdivisions will be able to use Dickens Street, Morris Court, and Morris Drive to enter and leave their residences. Local traffic will use 111th Street to Flatiron Meadows Boulevard to Erie Parkway. This section of 111th is for local residents only, there will be no through traffic to Arapahoe Road until the work is completed.
Flatiron Meadows Residents: Please continue to use the routes you have been to go to Erie Parkway to leave and return to your residences. Please avoid 111th Street from Arapahoe Road to Flatiron Meadows Boulevard until the work is completed.
The primary detour route for through traffic should be via U.S. Hwy 287 or along 119th Street. Traffic control signage will be in place to highlight the expected detour routes.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
