Water Main Break in Historic Old Town

The Public Works Department has been onsite to various areas in Historic Old Town to address a water main break. The water has been shut-off from Cheesman to Balcolm on Main and Balcolm east of Main. Crews are working to resolve the issue, and at this time there is no estimate on when the water will be restored. 

The cause of the break will be determined but could be related to seasonal changes in water use (turning off irrigation, blowing out sprinklers, etc.), which may have changed the reservation levels in the lines. 

If you see water running in the streets, or sidewalks and don't see crews nearby, please use ErieSubmit to report.
