Erie Parkway - Traffic Safety Plan
Beginning Friday, Sept. 3, the Town will provide traffic mitigation with Police Department and Public Works Department employees.
The Town of Erie Police Department, and the Town of Erie Public Works Department, in the interest of public safety, will provide traffic control through Monday, Sept. 20 as Community Development Group (CDG) completes their work on Erie Parkway. Town Staff will utilize an alternative four-way signal pattern, which will flash at Erie Parkway and CR 5 while the staff is on-site.
The following schedule of dates, (and times) is subject to change with the weather, and other modifications as is customary with active construction projects. The contractor has also shared that lane restrictions will only be occurring on certain days. Town-employed staffing may not occur on those days at the intersection.
Motorists
Please not stop in the roadway on Weld County Road 5. When the turn lane gets full to enter the High School, motorists have been stopping in the lane of travel and waiting to get in the turn lane which is exacerbating the traffic back up.
Please do not park along Colliers Parkway to wait for pickup. This is especially dangerous and makes it difficult for vehicles to drive on Colliers Pkwy with the single-lane traffic.
Updates to the traffic mitigation schedule below will be revised in the Cone Zone Alert:
