Update: County Line Road
between Hwy 7 and Arapahoe Road
In the coming weeks, the contractor will be finishing up inlets and installing a spillway. The 200' wall will be done by the end of the month. In addition, the remaining work involves:
- Balance remaining dirt on roadway.
- Drop structure and rip rap east side of County Line Road.
- Fine grade for curb and gutter in the last week of August.
- Fine grade for asphalt in the first week of September.
- Fine grade for asphalt in mid-September.
- Paving anticipated to be completed the first week of October.
Should all work go as planned, and the weather cooperates, the contractor is prepared to open the roadway in the beginning of October.

Traffic Advisory: County Line Road Closure:
Hwy 7 - Arapahoe Road
On Monday, June 28, 2021, County Line Road will be closed to traffic between Highway 7 and Arapahoe Road. Local traffic will be allowed access to the businesses in this area from the north (Arapahoe Road). Access to the Lafayette water treatment plant will be from the south (Highway 7). This closure is required so the contractor for the Parkdale Development can install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and construct the County Line road realignment. This closure is anticipated to last through the end of summer 2021 barring any unforeseen issues and weather permitting.
The main detour route will be 119th Street as shown on the attached detour map. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detours and traffic control signs. Please reduce speeds and avoid County Line Road if at all possible.
