Suspect Uses Motorcycle to Commit Smash and Grab Vehicle Trespasses
Erie, Colorado. On Monday, August 16, 2021, at 6:10 a.m., the suspect, driving a black sportbike, and wearing all black attempted to trespass several vehicles along Briggs Street. In one attempt, the suspect injured the occupant of a vehicle when smashing the vehicle’s window to grab a purse.
Video surveillance shows the suspect riding along sidewalks, and speeding off at a high rate of speed north on Briggs, west on Cheesman, and then north on County Line Road.
Erie Police Investigators are asking for anyone with information, or additional surveillance, to contact Sergeant Vesco at rvesco@erieco.gov and reference case number 21-1826.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
This is an active investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
