Briggs and Cheesman Resurfacing Project
As part of this year’s street maintenance, Briggs Street and Cheesman Street will be resurfaced, the project will include asphalt patching, a 7’ edge mill, followed by a 1.5” overlay and finally restriping the roads.
During this process, work hours will be 7:00 am to dusk, Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. No work is expected to take place on Sundays and holidays.
Crews on-site will accommodate residents leaving and accessing their homes although minor delays will be possible at times when the work being performed is directly in front of accesses. All roads will be accessible during off-work hours.
All of the work is also subject to weather conditions. The schedule below is a guideline and can shift one way or another based on progress and/or delays. All work should be completed by September.
Tentative Schedule:
- Briggs Street (Perry St. to Fletcher Dr.)
- Cheesman Street (County Line Rd. to Briggs St.)
- Edge Milling 8/21 and 8/23
- Asphalt Overlay 8/24, 8/25, 8/27, 8/28 and 8/30
This will be an inconvenience at times with the roads conditions, equipment, and construction taking place. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we have the chance to get these roads resurfaced.
