Traffic Advisory: 119th Street Lane Closures
Beginning Wednesday, July 21, 2021, SEMA Construction, the Town’s Contractor constructing the Zone 3 Waterline Extension, will begin preparation for crossing 119th Street south of Rex Ranch Place with a 30-inch waterline. After crossing 119th Street the waterline will then head south on the east side of 119th Street for approximately ¼ mile. The installation of the waterline along 119th Street and site restoration is anticipated to be complete by mid-September. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays.
The work will involve daytime lane closures on 119th Street between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm but traffic will be able to go in both directions. Between 4:00 pm and 9:00 am, all lanes will be open.
There will be a temporary surface for the crossing of 119th Street until the crossing is complete.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage, delineators, and flaggers will be on-site to enable travel through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.
