Water Quality Report

The Town is pleased to present the Annual Water Quality Report for 2021. This report provides water customers with information about the water and services the Town of Erie delivers daily. The goal is to provide high-quality drinking water at all times. The Town's water operators perform thousands of water tests each year to ensure quality drinking water. As a result, Erie continues to meet and exceed all federal and state drinking water standards. Learn more by viewing the Water Quality Report.

Sustainability and Tree Board Volunteers Wanted

The Town of Erie Board of Trustees is seeking residents interested in volunteering in the community by serving on either the Tree Board or the Sustainability Advisory Board. Town of Erie residents who have education, experience, or interest in trees or sustainability is encouraged to apply - especially youth (ages 16-20)! To be considered, applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Volunteers will begin their service in early September 2021. Why the Tree?

Have you ever wondered why the logo for the Town of Erie is a tree? Nancy Wurl, the wife of the late Leon A. Wurl, a former town administrator who designed the cottonwood image, recently shared a story about his inspiration. Mrs. Wurl said, "Leon and I loved that tree. Historic Properties: Holbrook

Recently, volunteers of the Erie Historic Preservation Advisory Board contracted a historical surveyor to assess 44 historically significant properties along Holbrook Street. The surveyor provided a detailed report to guide the advisory board in identifying resources, grants, and education to aid property owners in preserving historical heritage. Cone Zones

119^th Street Lane Closures
On Thursday and Friday, June 24 and 25, SEMA Construction will be locating existing utilities on the west side of 119th Street, south of Rex Ranch Place. Work hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will involve daytime lane closures on 119th Street, but traffic will still be able to go in both directions. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours.

County Line Road Closure
On Monday, June 28, County Line Road will be closed to traffic between Highway 7 and Arapahoe Road. According to the contractors, the closure will last through the end of summer 2021. The primary detour route will be 119th Street. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detours and traffic control signs. Fertilize-Wise

What could you be sending into streamwater? Stormwater runoff collects litter, pesticides, fertilizers, and other pollutants from homes and carries them straight to local waterways. If you choose to fertilize your lawn, there are several actions you can take to minimize the impact on our water. First, make sure to use the type and amount of fertilizer your lawn needs. Starting with a soil test will help you understand those needs. Then, take the time to apply the fertilizer properly. Be sure your spreader is designed for lawn fertilizer application and that it is calibrated for the type of fertilizer being used. Fresh Paint at Airport

The runway paint marking and maintenance project, originally scheduled to take 14 days, was completed in just 3 days! Special thanks to the Public Works crew for increasing safety and executing a job well done.
