Notice of Move-in, Rig-Up

Kerr McGee Oil and Gas has notified the COGCC that they will perform Move-in, Rig Up operations on the MC 3-5HZ well located outside Erie limits, north of CR 12 and east of CR 7.

Kerr McGee reports the Work-Over Rig operations will begin on June 11 and is expected to last 1 day.

What is this operation?
Gas well move in, rig ups, drilling rig, and work-over rig is performed to place, and/or assemble parts of the oil rig equipment, and prepare for drilling.

A 'Rig Workover', as defined by the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is "Remedial work to the equipment within a well, the well pipework, or relating to attempts to increase the rate of flow."

A 'Drilling Rig', as defined by Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is "a drilling unit that is not permanently fixed to the seabed, e.g. a drillship, a semi-submersible or a jack-up unit. Also means the derrick and its associated machinery."
