119th Street Road Milling and Asphalt Overlay on April 28
On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, weather permitting, the paving contractor for the Brennan by the Lake Development will begin road milling on 119th Street for a new asphalt overlay.
This work will be south of the roundabout at Erie Parkway to approximately 600 feet south of Austin Avenue in the northbound lanes. Weather permitting, the millwork is expected to be completed by the end of the same day Wednesday and the new asphalt will be placed on Thursday, April 29, and Friday, April 30.
Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the lane closures in effect from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. The construction will involve daytime single-lane closures on 119th Street.
Traffic control signage, delineators, and flaggers will be on-site to enable motorists to move through the construction area in a timely and safe manner during work hours. After work hours, both lanes will be open with some uneven surface areas.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detours and traffic control signs, and flaggers. Please reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
