Notice of Move-in, Rig-Up
Crestone Peak Resources has notified the COGCC that they will perform Move-in, Rig Up operations on two wells located outside of Erie limits (south of CR6 and west of I-25). Crestone reports the Drilling Rig operation began 1/27/21 at 6 a.m. and will take two days for the temporary abandonment.What is this operation?Gas well move in, rig up's, drilling rig, and work-over rig is performed to place, and/or assemble parts of the oil rig equipment, and prepare for drilling.
A 'Rig Workover', as defined by the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is "Remedial work to the equipment within a well, the well pipework, or relating to attempts to increase the rate of flow."
A 'Drilling Rig', as defined by Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is "a drilling unit that is not permanently fixed to the seabed, e.g. a drillship, a semi-submersible or a jack-up unit. Also means the derrick and its associated machinery."
