Traffic Advisory - 119th Street at Austin Avenue

On Monday, October 19, the paving contractor for the Brennan by the Lake Development has scheduled asphalt milling on 119^th Street for the new asphalt overlay and seal coat. The work will be south of the roundabout at Erie Parkway to approx. 600 feet south of Austin Avenue in the northbound lanes. The mill work is expected to be complete by the end of the day; weather permitting. The new asphalt and seal coat will be placed Tuesday - Friday; weather permitting.

Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the lane closures in effect from 9 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. The construction will involve daytime single lane closures on 119^th Street.

Traffic delays may occur, so motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers, and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage, delineators, and flaggers may be on site to detour traffic around the work areas. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended. After work hours, both lanes will be open with some uneven surface areas.
