Seeking Volunteers to Review EPD Directives
The Board of Trustees have established the Community Task Force as a result of the June 11, 2020 'Community Conversations - George Floyd's Death and a Call to Action'. Mayor Carroll noted, "A better understanding of what others encounter - especially others' experiences of which we may be unaware - will help inform our actions going forward."
The Community Task Force will have a unique opportunity to provide valuable input in reviewing the Police Department's directives and procedures.
Applications are accepted until July 10, 2020 at 5 p.m. Members must be an Erie resident, 18 years of age, and be willing to attend meetings as established by the Community Task Force. The initial meeting is set for Wednesday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at the Erie Police Department (1000 Telleen Avenue).
