Erie Board of Trustees Action Items
January 28, 2020

The Board of Trustees approved a service agreement with CoSolve, Inc. The agreement's over-arching goal is to jump-start business. Last week, CoSolve announced their intention to occupy 105 Wells, develop Meetup gatherings and establish seed funding for Erie based companies. On Tuesday, Economic Development Director, Ben Pratt, shared the first-year commitment goals; establish an Erie business incubator; register 10 incubator participants; start an evergreen fund; enhance downtown WiFi; and recruit business partners to match Town funds.

Swink Annexation

On Tuesday, the Board approved the resolution, ordinance, and zoning for the Swink property parcel to be annexed into Erie from Weld County. The annexation will extend water and sewer infrastructure eastward, remove oil and gas operations, dedicate land and funding for a neighborhood park, connect trails, improve traffic signalization, and designate a school site.

Trustees committed to partner with SolSmart, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, to encourage builders, homeowners and businesses to install solar energy systems. The partnership is consistent with community priorities as identified in the Town's Sustainability Master Plan and Energy Action plan. Stay tuned by visiting the sustainability webpage.
