At approximately 5:45 PM this evening, the Outdoor Warning Notification System operated through Boulder County Communications Center was activated in Erie. Severe weather moving through the Town of Erie caused flooding of some residential streets, particularly in the Vista Ridge neighborhood. Motorists are advised not to attempt to drive through streets with high standing or fast moving water.
The Department of Public Works, Parks Division and the Erie Police Department have also been notified of downed trees and downed light poles. DPW crews attending to these issues report that at this time (7:00PM) the worst of the severe weather appears to have dissipated. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
