DPW Crews Shift Efforts to Residential Streets Starting this Afternoon
Town of Erie Department of Public Works and Parks Division crews report that as of 1:30 pm this afternoon, all Primary and Secondary Routes have been plowed and and are passable. Crews continue to widen the lanes and remove slush from affected areas on Primary and Secondary Routes to further assist motorists.
Crews will begin snow removal efforts on Residential Streets starting at approximately 1:30 pm this afternoon. It is anticipated that snow removal operations will conclude late tonight – weather permitting.
Residential streets are plowed down the center of the street in an effort to avoid covering sidewalks, parked cars, and blocking driveways. Sidewalks and driveways may become blocked due to snowplow activities. Although a concerted effort is made to plow in a manner that does not block driveways, it is not always successful. The Town regrets the inconvenience to residents that snowplowing operations may cause. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Motorists are asked to please give snowplows the room they need to clear the streets. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
