Introducing the distinguished 150th-anniversary commemorative badge for our Erie Police Officers in 2024. In honor of a century and a half, it bears witness to our town's roots in coal mining and its unwavering journey towards a vibrant future. The design, created by Officer Kuhns, weaves together symbolic elements, portraying the resilience of our forebearers in the coal mines and the innovative spirit propelling Erie into the next era.
“As officers proudly wear this badge in the coming year, they not only carry the weight of history but also symbolize our collective commitment to building upon the foundation laid by generations past,” said Deputy Chief Heather Carmosino who spearheaded the project.
In celebrating our rich heritage and embracing the promise of tomorrow, this badge stands as a testament to the unity that defines the Town of Erie. To discover more, including the monthly Town of Erie sesquicentennial celebrations, visit www.erieco.gov/150.
