TRAIL CLOSURE:
Due to extremely high and fast-moving water, Coal Creek Trail is closed through at least this weekend. Crews will reassess that trail, and the entire trail system, on Monday, May 15. Some of our trails are in the floodplain of our creeks and drainages. Flooding is natural and expected in these areas after storms as large as those we have seen this week. However, for your safety and ours, please avoid our trail system for the next several days.
Clearing trails and cleaning up these areas will take time, your patience is appreciated. Even after assessment of the trails on Monday, there may be additional days of closure to allow for maintenance and cleanup.
