Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated July as Park and Recreation Month, a program of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). The goal is to raise awareness of the essential services that park and recreation professionals provide to communities across the U.S.
Erie offers more than 86 miles of trails, 1,250 acres of native areas, 400+ acres of open space and as June 14, the state-of-the-art Erie Community Center has had more than 76,200 individuals visit in 2022. Join us as we celebrate how the Town of Erie is stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation. Follow Erie Parks & Recreation on Facebook to participate in the annual Medallion Hunt that begins on Monday, July 18.
