Volunteers Needed: Tree and Sustainability Advisory Boards
The Town of Erie Board of Trustees is seeking residents who are interested in volunteering their time in public service to the community by serving on various boards and commissions.
Town of Erie residents who have education and experience in trees or sustainability are encouraged to apply - especially youth (ages 16-20)!
To be considered for appointments to the volunteer advisory boards, applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Volunteers would be onboarded in early September. View more information and apply

The Sustainability Advisory Board advises the Board of Trustees with matters that relate to the planning, development, maintenance, and management of sustainability activities throughout Erie. Seven members will be appointed by the Board of Trustees in staggered
four-year terms.
Tree Board
Erie is a Tree City USA, a designation granted by the National Arbor Day Foundation to municipalities who effectively manage their public tree resources and implement community forestry programs. The Board meets monthly to discuss these programs and related issues. The Tree Board consists of seven members appointed by the Board of Trustees in April of even-numbered years to serve four-year terms.
