Due to weather, previously scheduled paving for Bonanza Drive on Thursday, June 24, 2021, has been rescheduled for Friday, July 2, 2021. Waner Construction will be paving Bonanza Drive as part of the Vista Ridge Filing 6 Improvements project.  This work is expected to last one week. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays. 

The construction will involve lane closures and shifts, but traffic will be able to go in both directions. 

Traffic control signage, delineators and flaggers will be on site to enable motorists to move through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detours and traffic control signs, and flaggers. Please reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.

Beginning Wednesday, July 21, 2021, SEMA Construction, the Town’s Contractor constructing the Zone 3 Waterline Extension, will begin preparation for crossing 119th Street south of Rex Ranch Place with a 30-inch waterline. After crossing 119th Street the waterline will then head south on the east side of 119th Street for approximately ¼ mile. The installation of the waterline along 119th Street and site restoration is anticipated to be complete by mid-September. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays.

The work will involve daytime lane closures on 119th Street between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm but traffic will be able to go in both directions. Between 4:00 pm and 9:00 am, all lanes will be open.

There will be a temporary surface for the crossing of 119th Street until the crossing is complete.

Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours. Traffic control signage, delineators, and flaggers will be on-site to enable travel through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Delays may occur and alternate routes are strongly recommended.

On Saturday, July 24th, 2021 the Coal Creek Trail Closure will be removed and the trail will be open for use. There will still be some light ongoing construction clean up and grading around the trail and there will be bore pits open. The bore pits will be fenced off for safety until the work on them can be completed and then they will be filled in. Please be aware of the ongoing work around the trail and give the crews room to work as needed.

Due to unforeseen issues the 111th work has been delayed, but will resume on July 2nd, 2021. The work on 111th Street is part of the development work for the Nine Mile Minor Subdivision, the contractor for the Developer will begin to install the offsite sewer line in 111th Street. This work will require trenching, milling of the roadway surface and asphalt paving in large areas of the roadway between Arapahoe Road and the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Boulevard and 111th Street. The work is expected to last through summer and will be performed in four (4) phases. Time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and any other unanticipated delays. Updates to these closures will be given prior to the start of each phase if date or time frame changes occur. 

Phase 1: July 2nd, Enduring for approximately 23 Days

Work will take place from the intersection of Flatiron Meadows Boulevard and 111th Street to the entrance to the Scofield Farm. This will be a full closure during the day and will remain closed overnight with a detour route in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.

Phase 2: July 26th, Enduring for approximately 19 Days

The work zone will move south between the Schofield Farm entrance and the south side of Dickens Street. This will be a full closure during the day and will remain closed overnight with a detour route in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Court. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.

Phase 3: August 14th, Enduring for approximately 14 Days

The work zone will move south from the south side of Dickens Street to the south side of Morris Drive. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the south will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivisions will be at Morris Court from Arapahoe Road and Dickens Street from Flatiron Meadow Boulevard. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.

Phase 4: August 16th, Enduring for approximately 16Days

The work zone will move south from the north side of Morris Street to Arapahoe Road. This work will include a partial daytime closure of Morris Drive; flaggers will be used to move motorists through Morris Drive during the day to keep access open to the residences. After work hours Morris Drive will be fully opened, but the work zone to the north will be closed. A detour route will be in place utilizing Flatiron Meadows Boulevard from Erie Parkway and 119th Street between Arapahoe Road and Erie Parkway. Access to the Arapahoe Ridge subdivision will be at Morris Drive and Dickens Street. Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes.

Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
