Clean-Up Events

The Department of Public Works partners with various vendors to assist residents in disposing of unwanted household items, electronics, medication, building materials, metal-type items, and yard waste at core clean-up events twice a year. Other clean-up days may be added by other Town departments. Event details are subject to change. 

At the 2021 fall clean-up event, the Town collected 178 loads of electronics, 119 loads of metal, 160 loads of shredding, 42 purchases of prescription take-back bags, and 612 loads of mixed material to the landfill. Check out 2020 waste diversion numbers on this page.

Landfill Voucher Clean-Up Week

Residents may register for a free voucher to drop off acceptable items at the Front Range Landfill, at their convenience (and during operating hours) in the Spring and Fall. Click the 'Landfill' tab below for acceptable items and landfill details.

Metal, Electronics, Shredding, and Prescriptions Clean-Up Day

The Town hosts spring and fall Clean-up events from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. for drop-in recycling services at the Service Center (150 Bonnell Avenue). The events include the drop-off of materials for:

  • Metal recycling
  • Electronic recycling
  • Prescription take-back bags
  • Paper shredding

Events are held annually in the spring and fall. Check back in early 2022 for Spring Clean-up details.

The landfill is located at 1830 Weld County Road 5, hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays (closed on Holidays). Visit the Front Range Landfill website for rates on disposal.


  • Accepted Items at Front Range Landfill
  • Truck with a trailer attached is considered TWO loads and will be charged accordingly.
  • Loads must be covered.
  • Loads must be level with bed of the truck or trailer.
  • Construction materials such as roofing shingles, concrete, and framing materials could be subject to charges.
  • Hazardous materials such as refrigerators, car batteries, tires, electronics and paint are not accepted. See tab to the left for Hazardous Waste options.
  • All participants must use a safety vest at the landfill when outside of their vehicle.
  • Appliances are not accepted.
