About Us

The Erie Police Department serves 34,828 residents of Erie, Colorado with a patrol responsibility of 48 miles.

The Police Chief oversees 46 state-certified officers, nine non-certified staff, and all sections of the police department. The Deputy Chief provides oversight for Operations and Support Services. Two Commanders are responsible for Patrol and Support Services. Additionally, more than 21 volunteers support Police Operations.
