Portable exterior wood burning appliances
Items such as chimineas and wood fired portable grills are not regulated by the Town of Erie. For regulations and restrictions on these items please contact Mountain View Fire Rescue, state, county, or other local agencies.
These items are still required to meet setback and easement requirements contained in the Unified Development Code.
Permanent wood burning structures
Structures such as fireplaces, and pizza ovens do require permits. Applicants should contact the building division with any questions.
