Water Aerobics

Drop-in water aerobics classes are offered daily and available to anyone with either an Erie Community Center membership or with the daily drop-in admission fee.

Water Aerobics Schedule

  • Aqua Jam (river)
    • Monday-Friday: 9-10 a.m.
  • H2O Aerobics (lap pool)
    • Monday and Wednesday: 8-9 a.m. and 6-7 p.m.
    • Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8-9 a.m.
  • Hydro Pump (river)
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7-8 a.m.

Water Aerobic Class Descriptions

Aqua Movement: Enjoy a fun, relaxing, low impact workout in the water! This class includes cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, strengthening, and spine stabilization.   Exercises designed for participants with arthritis are also included.  In addition to the above, work on your range of motion to assist in reducing joint pain. A doctor’s release is recommended for pre/post-natal participants prior to participating in this class.

H2O Aerobics: Join us for a total body workout that will physically challenge you! You will get the same fitness benefits as land aerobics, including excellent cardiovascular conditioning, muscle toning, flexibility, and fat burning. The water provides great resistance and a low-impact workout. This class is for everyone! Join us for a change of pace, for cross-training, or for general fitness.

LaBlast® Splash: Dive into the future of water fitness – LaBlast® Splash! This class celebrates the beauty of true dance in the water! Learn the Disco, Jive, Viennese Waltz, Lindy Hop, and more through whole body movement both in and above the water. The easy-to-learn patterns and music selections from all genres and eras welcome any age and fitness level.

Aqua Jam: Feel the beat, break a sweat. This class uses great music to implement strength, core, and balance techniques using a variety of equipment in a river setting to boost cardiovascular health and elevate mood. 

Hydro Pump: Gain strength and endurance like you would on land but have extra resistance from working against the river current.  

River HIIT: Join us in building muscle, increasing balance, and scorching fat in this physically demanding class. With specialized aquatic equipment, be prepared to feel your muscles burn and get that heart rate elevated. This intense class is a great way to switch up your routine by cross training in the water and experience total body results. Come in and see the gains!

Session Based Water Aerobics

River HiiT: A 6-week class that will focus on building muscle, increasing endurance, improving balance and burning fat. You’ll use specialized aquatic equipment in short bursts of intense effort followed by moderate to low active recovery. Mix up your routine by cross training in the water and experiencing total body results. Add a buy one get one InBody 570 body composition scan to track your results and see your gains!
