Since 2009, our volunteers have increased the number of hours given yearly by over 3,000 hours.  Erie Parks & Recreation's volunteer needs will only continue to grow in 2013 and beyond so volunteers for any of the events below are welcomed!

As an incentive to volunteers and a big THANK YOU to all of the dedicated volunteers, the Volunteer Incentive Program offers:

Sports Volunteer Coaches

• 1 & 2 Season – Coach t-shirt, free youth sports registration for one child per team coached, and 2 day passes
• 3 Seasons (not necessarily consecutive) – free youth sports registration for one child per team coached, 10 punch pass, and free room rental for team party for 3rd season coached
• After 3 seasons - the process starts over...the coach receives 1 season awards
• Volunteer Award eligibility – Coach of the Season, awarded three times annually, given plaque and gift card

Special Event Volunteers

• One Event – volunteer t-shirt (if applicable) and 2 day passes
• 3 events/ calendar year - 10 punch pass
• Volunteer Committee (per event) – 10 punch pass (max 2 events/year)
• Volunteer Award eligibility - awarded annually

Active Adult Volunteers

• Serve at 20 lunches annually – 10 punch pass
• Serve at 35 lunches annually – 2/10 punch passes
• Volunteer Award eligibility – awarded twice annually, given plaque and gift card

ECC Volunteers (To be determined when needed)

• 6 hrs = 2 day passes
• 12 hrs = 10 punch pass

Parks Volunteers

• One Event – volunteer t-shirt (if applicable) and 2 day passes
