Erie's regular municipal election is held during the month of April in even-numbered years. Other elections are held in November of uneven years. These elections include presidential primary elections and general elections. Erie is a dual county municipality; east of County Line Road is Weld County (county seat is located in Greeley) and west of County Line Road is Boulder County (county seat is located in Boulder).

In order to register to vote in Erie, you must be:

• 18 years of age by the day of the April or November election
• A resident in the Town of Erie 30 days before the election
• A registered voter 29 days before the election in the appropriate county in Erie
• A U.S. citizen
