Community Forestry
Erie Forestry

Community forestry is the care and management of public tree resources in an urban / community environment. Erie’s dedicated community foresters plant and maintain trees, support tree and forest preservation and promote community forestry.

Our foresters also promote the many benefits trees provide, including the economic and environmental benefits trees have to offer our citizens and visitors. These efforts have earned the Town of Erie the Tree City USA designation by the National Arbor Day Foundation and the American Public Works Association Small Community Award.
