Erie Coyote Crew Volunteers Needed


Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking volunteers for a Coyote Crew in Erie. The members of this volunteer group will assist the District Wildlife Manager from Colorado Parks and Wildlife in educating community members on how to co-exist with coyotes and will respond to situations involving coyote interactions with people. Training is required to participate with this group. Topics covered in training include coyote biology and behavior, coyote-specific research, legal issues, communication techniques, Colorado Parks and Wildlife messages, hazing, and more.

Please contact District Wildlife Manager Kristin Cannon,, by January 7, 2018 if you are interested in being on the crew or have further questions. The training will be scheduled in January based on volunteers’ schedules and availability.
