High Fire Danger in Erie

EriePD_MVFR.jpg

The Erie Police Department and Mountain View Fire Rescue would like to remind residents and visitors to Erie that with the unseasonably dry weather and high winds it has created dangerous conditions of high flammability in our open fields.

The Town of Erie has seen three brush fires within the last five days - one on Friday, February 17 and two on Monday, February 20. The cause of these fires is unknown at this time.

The Erie Police Department is requesting anyone with information about the cause of these fires to please contact Commander Haefele at the Erie Police Department at 303-926-2813.
